Joyce Marie Hurd Boles, 75, of Locust, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at her home. Her funeral service will be Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 1PM in the Chapel of Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care Chapel Locust. The family will receive friends from 12PM-1PM prior to this service. Burial will be in Ferndale Cemetery in Gloversville NY.

Born April 12, 1943 in Gloversville, NY, Mrs. Boles was the daughter of the late Orval John Hurd and Dorothy Marie Staley Hurd. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in NY. Joyce worked as a bookkeeper for a grocery store. She enjoyed camping and doing crafts.

Mrs. Boles is survived by her husband Gerald Boles; sons Larry Boles of Locust, David Boles (Deborah) of Greensboro; daughter Patricia Ann Delnegro (John) of NY; 6 grandchildren: Christopher, Courtney, Eric, Taylor, Grayson and Mackenzie; and sister Charlene Bornt (Richard) of NY.
