James “David” Lisk, 77, of Midland, NC died after an extended illness Sunday afternoon, November 26, 2017 in his home with his family by his side.
Mr. Lisk was born on Saturday, August 17, 1940 in Kannapolis, to the late James M. and Verna M. Whitley Lisk.
He was a self-employed printer for 28 years before retiring and had served his country honorably in the United States Army earning the rank of Private First Class.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his devoted sons, Todd E. (Bethany) Lisk of Midland, Travis D. Lisk of Concord, and Buddy (Betsy) Lisk of Charlotte. Other survivors include his six loving grandchildren, Cameron, Garrett, Ashley, Emily, Landon and Preston; one brother, John R. (Trish) Lisk of Morehead City; two sisters, Janice C. Law of Rex, GA and Susan A. (Paul) Lovingood of Midland. He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Michael Lisk who died on March 17, 2008; his two brothers and one sister.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. Funeral services will be on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the funeral home with Rev. Timothy Newton officiating. Burial will follow at Charlotte Memorial Gardens, in Charlotte with military rites to follow.

David will be forever missed by his loving and devoted family and many dear friends. May God grant him eternal rest.
