Christopher Wayne Hatley, 51, of Albemarle, N.C. passed away Thursday February 8, 2018 in CHS-Northeast. His memorial service will be 4 PM Sunday February 11, 2018 at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Louise Hilbert officiating. Entombment will follow in the church columbarium. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 PM until 4 PM prior to the service at First Lutheran Church.

Christopher was born April 3, 1966, in Newport News, VA and was the son of Vonda Cole Hatley and Jerry Hatley of Badin, N.C. He was a member at First Lutheran Church of Albemarle and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and taking trips to the beach or mountains. Mr. Hatley was a Boy Scout leader with Troop # 82.

Mr. Hatley was preceded in death by his wife Joy Marie Loflin Hatley in 2014. He is survived by two sons Jared Michael Hatley and wife Brittany of Albemarle, N.C. and Timothy Wayne Hatley and wife Esmeralda of Albemarle, N.C.; grandchildren Lilliana, Arellano’, and Aiden; brothers David Hatley of Badin and Mark Hatley of Asheboro; and sister Nikki Laster of Badin.
