Barbara Pinion Robbins, 73 years of age, of Midland, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at her home.

Barbara was born July 11, 1944 in Charlotte to the late Robert Lee Pinion Sr. and the late Velma A. Pinion. She was also preceded in death by two beloved children, Teresa Gail Robbins, and Martin “Marty” Bryan Robbins; and three siblings.



The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm, Saturday, November 4, 2017 at United Love Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow in the church sanctuary at 1:00 pm and will be officiated by Rev. Marvin Tyson and Rev Barry Yates. Burial will follow at the Sharon Memorial Park at 5400 Monroe Road, Charlotte.

Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Larry W. Robbins of Midland; brother, Ralph Pinion of Locust; sister, Shirley (James) Melton of Myrtle Beach, SC; sister, Cora Kimbrell of Charlotte; brother, Jerry (Ginger) Pinion of Anchorage, AK; sister, Linda Mason of Oakboro; and many nieces and nephews.Barbara attended West Mecklenburg High School. She loved her church, United Love Baptist, where she impacted young lives while working in the nursery. She retired from The Hartford after 30 years of service. She also worked as a Real Estate agent for Century 21 At The University for several years. She is a member of Midland Chapter #260 OES. She loved traveling with her husband and spending time at their Wyoming home.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr Newman and the staff at Novant Oncology Group, especially, Michelle J., Michelle Mc, Morgan, Megan, Natasha, and Maria Jovan. Also, Dr Wyatt Fowler and Jessica Fowler and staff for all the tremendous help and care given to Barbara during her illness.
