Annie Mae Helms Harvell, 94 years of age, of Locust, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2017.

Annie was born November 9, 1922 in Stanly County, NC to the late James Luther Helms and the late Audie Bell Burris Helms.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Martin Harvell; as well as five siblings.

Survivors include her son, Tommy Harvell and wife, Maureen; grandsons, Terry Harvell and Timmy (Robin) Harvell; two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; as well as step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; sister, Lilly Biggers and brother, Bobby Helms; and her very special niece, Judy Dixon.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. A graveside funeral service will be on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Community Baptist Church Cemetery, 818 N. Central Avenue, Locust officiated by Rev. Tim Kendall.
