Did Someone Say Tax Time?

MINT HILL, NC – I’m not sure about you all, but at Fulcrum we have been heavily focused on tax season the past few weeks.  It’s always a busy time of year.  From past experience, I am going to share a few insights I learned throughout the years.

We’ll begin with the simple question, “How are financial planning and tax planning connected?”  Although, financial advisors and accountants are both experts in different areas, we compliment each other.  We should both have your best interests in mind and want you to achieve your goals.  We need to be on the same page.  Here is another way to think about the relationship between the two…accountants may suggest tax-saving strategies to you, and your financial advisor can help you implement those strategies.  Things are so much easier when everyone is working together.  It creates efficiency.  At Fulcrum, we believe in the following:  introduce your accountant to your financial advisor, work with your financial advisor and accountant year-round not just around tax time, and always remember a strategy should not be implemented for tax purposes only.  It needs to service multiple purposes.

I hope you have found this article beneficial and hopefully you are already doing this.  If not though, feel free to reach out to me and I can help you become better prepared for next tax season.

Let us help you find your clarity of purpose!
