60th annual Oakboro 4th of July celebration

Wednesday, July 4, crowds lined the streets of Oakboro for the annual Fourth of July parade. The atmosphere was festive as floats, fire trucks, tractors, antique cars, beauty pageant contestants, horses and more paraded down the streets of town decked in red, white and blue.

The Fourth festivities continued throughout the day with a BBQ lunch, the Miss Stanly County Fire Queen Pageant, carnival rides and evening concerts featuring Valhalla and The Tonez. A late night fireworks show ended the day with a bang.



Wednesday’s festivities completed the week-long 60th annual Fourth of July Celebration in Oakboro.
