
The congregation of Locust Presbyterian Church invites you to come and enjoy a very special evening of bluegrass gospel music featuring The Hatley Family of Stanly County and The Hinson Girls of Lancaster, South Carolina. The concert will be Sunday, February 18 and will begin with The Hinson Girls at 5:00 PM. All are welcome to come hear Katelyn, Melissa, Allison, and Kristin share the Good News through beautiful bluegrass music and then enjoy our local favorite, The Hatley Family. This is a free concert. All are invited to stay for finger foods following in the concert in the Fellowship Hall. Come and enjoy a wonderful evening of music and fellowship. Everyone is always welcome at our services. Locust Presbyterian Church is located at 607 W. Main Street in Locust.
THE HATLEY FAMILY BIO:
The Hatley Family of Stanfield, consists of four siblings and their father Ervin Hatley. The group is known for its great harmony and incredible instrumentation. Most of the band members play more the one instrument including the fiddle, guitar, banjo, acoustic base, mandolin and Dobro. The Hatley Family band formed in 1982, and they’ve always performed bluegrass gospel and traditional bluegrass music.
THE HINSON GIRLS BIO:
The Hinson Girls are four sisters from Lancaster, SC who have been performing bluegrass gospel music since 2009. Their love for music has brought them closer together, and opened many opportunities to share their talents. In March 2012, they won 1st place at the SC Bluegrass Band Championship held at the Renofest Bluegrass Festival in Hartsville, SC and have been featured on WBTV’s “Carolina Camera”. In 2015, they were the 4th Place band at the 2015 SPBGMA International Band Competition.
