
Stanly Community College (SCC), in conjunction with the NCWorks Career Center, are planning to host a Community Job Fair on Tuesday, May 15, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. This event will be held at Stanly County Commons, located at 1000 North First Street in Albemarle. It is a free event and open to the public!
Representatives attending the Community Job Fair will include public and private employers of large and small businesses located inside and outside Stanly County. Other sponsors include Centralina Workforce Development Board, City of Albemarle, NCWorks NEXTGEN, Pfeiffer University, Stanly County, Stanly County Chamber of Commerce, Stanly County Economic Development, Stanly County Health Department, and NC Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
“Stanly Community College has become a vital resource to the community for career assistance and workforce development,” noted Marcus Pryor, Assistant Dean of Students and Career Placement for SCC. “The Community Job Fair is a great opportunity for our students and the general public to learn more about career fields and network with potential employers. We invite anyone seeking employment to come by and visit. Please dress in appropriate business attire and bring plenty of resumes to share with employers,” stated Pryor.
