MINT HILL, NC – For more than half a century, Woodie’s Auto Service & Repair Centers have been a fixture in the Charlotte community. In just a couple of weeks, the family-owned business will open location No. 12 – the first Woodie’s center in Mint Hill. A total of three new auto centers are slated to open in 2020 and 2021.
“We chose Mint Hill mainly because this location fills in a huge gap we had in our coverage area to better serve our customers,” says Brad Woodie, co-owner of the company. “Many of our customers have asked us for years to open a car care center east of Charlotte. …
“My brother and co-owner, Mike, has lived in Mint Hill for 25 years and we both grew up in nearby Matthews, so we are very familiar with the area and absolutely love the people that call Mint Hill home.”
Independently owned, Woodie’s Auto “is small enough to be able to pay attention to all the details but large enough to service our customers pretty much anywhere in the greater Charlotte area,” says Woodie. The company services all makes and models of trucks and automobiles, foreign and domestic, and sells a full line of name-brand tires. Each location employs at least one Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) master technician.
The automotive center’s complimentary “white-glove service” includes shuttle service and vehicle pickup and delivery. It also offers 36-month/36,000-mile parts and labor warranty that’s recognized nationwide.
Founded in 1963 by family patriarch Ernest Woodie, the company’s current employee roster includes co-owners Brad and Mike; Brad’s son, Chandler; and Mike’s sons, Alex and Daniel. Each of them, says Brad Woodie, takes pride in knowing that 95% of the customers they serve “get in and out the same day.”
