Meet The Doctors And Staff

The Doctors at Union Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center are all certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. They have each completed extensive schooling, post-graduate work, and continuing education seminars to stay up to date on the latest techniques and technological breakthroughs in dental implants and oral surgery.

Dr. Steven Patty is a highly experienced and well-respected oral and maxillofacial surgeon with over 7,000 completed dental implant procedures. He is passionate about patient care and designed Union Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Center to be a welcoming and stress-free environment. Dr. Patty founded the Union Oral Surgery so that patients wouldn’t have to face the stress and anxiety of traveling to Charlotte traffic to get needed oral surgery care.

Dr. Kelley Lybrand is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon with extensive experience in wisdom tooth extractions, dental implants, bone contouring, bone and tissue grafting, facial trauma surgery, corrective jaw surgery, and pathology.  Originally from Union County, she takes the time to get to know her patients personally, and her warm disposition and thorough explanations put patients at ease. Dr. Lybrand is also an assistant professor and director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program at the University of South Carolina.

Dr. Jesse Ricciuti is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon whose father is a dentist. For him, relieving pain is one of the most rewarding aspects of being an oral surgeon. Dr. Ricciuti has the training and expertise to help patients with tooth infections, swelling, abscesses, and other dental issues requiring an oral surgeon’s assistance. He also enjoys helping patients reclaim their smiles by replacing missing teeth with dental implants. Dr. Ricciuti knew he wanted to help others after watching his father, a dentist, care for patients. Seeing how grateful patients were for his father’s personalized and compassionate care cemented young Jesse’s desire to follow in his father’s footsteps. 

Staff assistants are also highly trained and attend continuing education training classes and workshops to stay current with the highest levels of care. Nicole Honeycutt is a registered dental hygienist and the practice dental implant coordinator who always uses kindness, compassion, and education to help patients become comfortable with their procedures and post-procedure care.

Dr. Patty wanted to bring preeminent oral surgery care and dental implant treatments for adults and children to the Union County area when he opened the first office of Union Oral Surgery in Monroe in 1995. Since then, the practice has grown to regional leaders in oral healthcare, receiving the 2019 Small Business Of The Year award from the Union County Chamber Of Commerce.
