On Tuesday, September 10. 2019, N.C. Congressional District 9 will hold a special election for the U.S. House of Representatives. Early voting has already started and will run through September 6.  Please visit http://www.unioncountync.gov for more information including a sample ballot, early voting locations, and polling sites.

This election was called for by the N.C. State Board of Elections after they twice refused to make the 2018 election results official due to absentee ballot tampering. C.D. 9 runs from parts of Mecklenburg County through Union, Anson, Richmond, Scotland, Robeson, and into parts of Cumberland and Bladen counties. N.C. Congressional District 9 has been without a representative since January 3, 2019.
