National homebuilder Taylor Morrison has broken ground on a new 55+ active-adult community in the Tri-W area. Pinnacle at Wesley Chapel, as the new community is called, is located just past Wesley Chapel Elementary on Weddington Road. Pinnacle will feature 60 one-story homes built on 1820-2720 square foot floor plans, with optional half-story additions. The largest floor plans for the community include up to four bedrooms, three full bathrooms and a two-car garage; most homes in the community, however, will feature slightly smaller floor plans.

Homes in the Pinnacle community will feature designs with mobility and ease of access in mind. Minimal stair usage, open-concept planning and low maintenance yards are just some of the features implemented with the active-adult community in mind. Outside of the home, amenities featured will include outdoor recreation areas, a fitness center, pocket parks and a community clubhouse.

Floor plans in the Pinnacle at Wesley Chapel community include customizations and additions that allow for a personalized home. Options for additions include gourmet kitchen setups, walk-in closets, transom windows, tray ceilings and room swaps. For instance, an additional bedroom can be built in lieu of the standard “flex room” included in the floor plan.

As a builder in 23 other Union-Mecklenburg communities such as Bonterra Village and North Reach, Taylor Williams is well versed in the needs of buyers in the area. Erik Heuser, chief strategy officer at Taylor Morrison, said in an interview with PRNewswire that buyers in the active-adult market are looking for a lifestyle and community, rather than just a home. Taylor Morrison couldn’t have chosen a better community to build in than that at Wesley Chapel.
