MINT HILL, NC – When you’re in pain, you can’t think about anything else. It consumes your every waking moment, and you constantly look for new ways to bring relief. Massage Sanctuary isn’t just your typical massage therapy service; it is a labor of love. Owner Lisa Lane became a certified massage therapist after her sister relied on massage therapy to alleviate her symptoms during her final days of life battling cancer. In her sister’s memory, Ms. Lane embarked on this new career path, determined to make a difference in the lives of those suffering from pain and discomfort.

Massage Sanctuary has been in business for ten years and recently moved to a new suite in their building. In starting Massage Sanctuary, Ms. Lane envisioned offering various services to heal the whole person, not just individual symptoms. Lisa Lane is a fully licensed massage therapist with certifications in neuromuscular massage, ACE Medi-Cupping, Swedish massage, Trigger Point release, and Orthopedic massage and assessment.
Lisa initially began as a solo therapist but hired Brian Millen, a licensed massage therapist, about eight years ago to help treat clients. Brian is certified in neuromuscular massage, ACE Medi-Cupping, Swedish massage, Trigger Point release, Active Isolated Stretch Training, and Orthopedic massage and assessment.
This year, Lisa and Massage Sanctuary partnered with David Reed of Origin Rehabilitation and Heather Wilson of AGT Wellness. With these partnerships, Lisa aims to make Massage Sanctuary a one-stop center for all your wellness needs. David Reed is a physical therapist whose focus is helping adults return to an active lifestyle, even when past treatment options haven’t worked for them. Heather Wilson is a personal trainer, nutritionist, and health and wellness coach with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, which allows her to counsel clients to be more successful in reaching their health and wellness goals.
Massage Sanctuary, Origin Rehabilitation, and AGT Wellness have combined forces to offer pain management, treat chronic/acute orthopedic issues, and provide compassionate guidance to help individuals live their best lives with greater mobility, less pain, and an overall healthier lifestyle. The trio held a Grand Re-Opening ceremony on December 8th that over 90 people attended. All three of the businesses would like to thank the community for their ongoing support and are grateful for the opportunity to serve the residents of Mint Hill and beyond.
