The silent auction kicks off at 6:00, but you’ll want to get there when the doors open at 5:30 to register and peruse over 30 themed raffle baskets.  “We have more than 90 local businesses who participate either with gift cards or products,” says fundraising co-chair Andree West.  This year’s raffle baskets will span popular themes like St. Patty’s Day, chocolate lovers, pickleball, game night, gardening and pampering!  Raffle tickets will be sold at the event, and winners will be drawn at 7:30.  Note that you must be present to claim your winnings!

Bidding opens on silent auction items at 6:00 pm.  Items up for auction include a sketch by Dennis the Menace artist Marcus Hamilton, a wine class for 20 from Total Wine, and art from local artists.  It may be held by the Women’s Club, but make no mistake: this isn’t a women’s only event.  With items like a round of golf at Olde Sycamore Golf Plantation, a tour for ten of Rick Hendrick’s private corvette collection, and Charlotte Hornets tickets up for grabs, everyone is sure to find something that suits their tastes.

Every ticket to Sip, Savor, Support includes a tasting card to sample ten unique wines and beers.  Every year, the Women’s Club works with experts to create a unique and varied selection of wines that go beyond what may be available in your local grocery store.  The Women’s Club is hard at work selecting this year’s wines, but they can promise that they’ll bringing back Blue Vin Riesling, a favorite from years past.

Bidding on the Silent Auction will open at 6:00 pm.

The third annual Sip, Savor, Support marks the 48th annual fundraiser for the Mint Hill Women’s Club, whose members have unwaveringly supported the community through philanthropic work for half a century.  Last year’s event netted $22k, and every cent raised went back to the local community in the form of financial donations, scholarships to CPCC or service projects in the community.  Some of the beneficiaries included Servant’s Heart, Honor the Warriors, Loaves and Fishes, Sunflower Cafe, Mending Strides, Blessed Assurance Adult Day Care, and Community Culinary School of Charlotte.

Sip, Savor, Support wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of its sponsors.  Heavy hors d’oeuvres come courtesy of Messer Financial, and Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center is contributing sporting event tickets and VIP bags.  If you or your business is interested in joining Blessed Assurance Adult Day Care and Level Up Logo as a Wine Sponsor or “Friend of Mint Hill Women’s Club,” contact Andree West for details at mhwclub@gmail.com for details.

The Women’s Club is offering two ticketing options to enjoy this much-anticipated event.  Entry tickets are $45 and include ten wine and beer tastings and assorted hors d’oeuvres.  VIP tickets include added perks like an etched wine glass, a mystery wine bottle valued at up to $80, 25 raffle tickets and a Novant tote bag – a value of over $115 for just $85.  Tickets are available online at https://www.mhwclub.com.  Act fast because there are only 200 available!  Tickets will not available at the door.
