Mint Hill, NC – On Saturday, April 18, and Wednesday, April 22, Chick-Fil-A Albemarle Road delivered lunch to everyone on staff at Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center.

Chick-Fil-A doled out sandwiches and waffle chips to all Novant Mint Hill employees.

Chick-Fil-A Albemarle Road donated a pre-bagged meal that included Chick-Fil-A’s classic chicken sandwich and Chick-Fil-A Waffle chips for every employee on staff at Novant Health Mint Hill.  In fact, that’s exactly why they chose to provide lunch on two different days: in order to feed all staff, including weekend-only employees.

Chick-Fil-A chose two different dates to make sure they could reach all employees.

“We just wanted to support the healthcare workers in our community, and feeding them is how we could do that,” says Chick-Fil-A Albemarle Road Marketing Director Denise Boston.  “We want them to know they are appreciated and thank them for what they are doing.”

Chick-Fil-A employees signed a poster expressing their thanks to everyone who works at Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center.

Chick-Fil-A Albemarle Road enjoys a longstanding relationship with Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center.  “We have partnered with them since before they opened, feeding employees attending orientations,” says Boston.  “We’ve participated in a ‘Food Truck Friday’ they hosted along with various breakfasts and lunches for individual departments.”

“We appreciate their thinking of our team on the front lines of this pandemic at this time,” says Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center President Joy Greear.  “Chick-Fil-A on Albemarle Road is so active in the Mint Hill community. Providing a meal for our team members on all shifts is a big undertaking, and our team was super excited about CFA!”

Novant’s employees also expressed their thanks to Chick-Fil-A!

Chick-Fil-A is one of many local businesses and groups working to support Novant’s employees in both tangible and intangible ways.  Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center has also received pizza from Domino’s, cupcakes from Daphne’s Bakery, Krispy Kreme donuts, candy from the Speedway gas station in Midland, treat bags and yard signs from the neighboring Cresswind community, a video from the Chamber of Commerce, countless face masks are sewn by local individuals, and lots of pictures from kids to make them smile!

The cow was practicing social distancing, but he was present in spirit (wearing appropriate protective gear, of course).

If you’re craving Chick-Fil-A, the Albemarle Road location in Mint Hill is working to make sure you can enjoy your chicken while maintaining appropriate social distance.  “The best way to still enjoy Chick-Fil-A while staying safe is to place a mobile order using the Chick-Fil-A App,” suggests Boston. “You can then pick up your order in the drive-thru or curbside.”
