MINT HILL, NC – Easter egg hunts are a popular tradition during the Easter holiday. The tradition of hunting for eggs during Easter is believed to have its origins in ancient pagan celebrations of spring. In many cultures, the egg is a symbol of new life and fertility, which are both associated with the spring season.

With the advent of Christianity, the egg took on additional symbolic significance. Christians viewed the egg as a symbol of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, with the hard shell representing the sealed tomb and the emerging chick representing Christ rising from the dead.

Today, Easter egg hunts are a popular activity for families and communities to celebrate the Easter holiday, and there are many you can enjoy right here in Mint Hill!
