CHARLOTTE – With National Pet Week coming up, we can’t think of a better reason to celebrate fur babies! On May 2, Passionate Paws Animal Hospital will be throwing a paw-ty outside their new location in the Chestnut Arbor Shopping Center with friends from South Charlotte Dog Rescue.

Passionate Paws and SCDR share the same goals when it comes to the local community of pet parents and has been partnering together for years to care for animals, plan events and fundraise for animals in need. “We are all very excited for the upcoming celebration at the new Passionate Paws location in Weddington! It’s always a wonderful thing to bring the community together to learn about & celebrate pet ownership,” says Danielle of SCDR. “In-person adoption events are an integral part of our adoption process, as they give potential adopters an opportunity to meet & interact with our available dogs/puppies to help ensure the best possible fit.”

The team at Passionate Paws supports SCDR in their mission to provide a safe and loving place for dogs in need to receive medical care and find their perfect forever home. “It’s always fun to have an event, but it makes it even better when we can support our friends at SCDR,” states Stephen Bonilla, hospital administrator & owner of Passionate Paws. “We hope that we can kick off National Pet Week with our hearts in the right place: focused on caring not just for our fur baby patients, but also those animals in need.”
