Novant Health Seeking Entertainers, Food Truck vendors for Welcome Back Fest Street Festivals

CHARLOTTE – Novant Health is actively seeking local entertainers and food truck vendors who represent the unique diversity of the communities it serves to participate in the Welcome Back Fest street festivals in Charlotte, Wilmington, and Winston-Salem this summer.

Entertainers of all backgrounds are invited to apply at https://www.welcomebackfest2021.com/entertainers/. All performances must be musical, rhythmic, or in another closely associated format. The selected entertainers will be compensated as part of their contract.



Food truck vendors are invited to apply at https://www.welcomebackfest2021.com/food-trucks/. Novant Health is looking for food trucks that represent different backgrounds and tastes and all are welcome to apply. Those who are selected to participate will be contacted with a contract and will also be paid a flat fee of $1,000 at the conclusion of the event.

In addition to compensation, all selected participants will have the opportunity to be included in promotional materials, which will be distributed across multiple channels to ensure community turn-out. The health care system is encouraging news media and other key community partners, leaders, and influencers to help bring awareness to this opportunity for local businesses.

Novant Health is hosting the Welcome Back Fest street festivals to mark the progress made in the fight against COVID-19. The three free community events, which are scheduled on three different days in July and August, aim to support diverse local businesses, honor healthcare heroes and celebrate the milestones reached with the help of community members.

The date is as follows:

  • Saturday, July 24 in Charlotte, N.C.
  • Saturday, Aug. 7 in Wilmington, N.C.
  • Saturday, Aug. 21 in Winston-Salem, N.C.
