Thursday, June 8

The Locust Library will hold a Nature Storytime program at 10 a.m. for children of all ages.



Bouncing Babies Story Time will be held at 11 a.m. at the Albemarle Main Library. The 20 minute program features stories, songs and rhymes for babies birth through 24 months.

Children can strengthen reading skills by reading aloud to a therapy dog during the Read to the Dogs program at the Locust Library. The program is held on the second Thursday of each month. Registration is required. Time slots are available from 4-5:30 p.m.

 

Friday, June 9

Preschool Story Time will be held at the Oakboro Library at 9:30 a.m. The theme for June is “Building a Better World.”

The Albemarle Main Library will show The Angry Birds movie at 10 a.m.

Matthews Playhouse will present “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” June 9-25. Showtimes are on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Ticket prices are $19 for adults and $13 for students and seniors. Visit matthewsplayhouse.com for showtimes or to purchase tickets.

Monday, June 12

The Locust Library will host a Dig Into History program at 2:30 p.m.

Tuesday, June 13

The Albemarle Main Library will hold a Learn About Recycling program at 2 p.m.

 

Wednesday, June 14

Children’s Story Time will be held at 10 a.m. at the Albemarle Main Library.

The Oakboro Library will host a Police K-9 program at 2 p.m.

Thursday, June 15

The Locust Library will hold a Nature Storytime program at 10 a.m. for children of all ages.
