Friday, October 12

Preschool Story Time will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the Oakboro Library.



The Children’s Theater of Charlotte will present Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical from September 28 to October 21 at McColl Family Theater. The play is recommended for ages 6 and older. Visit www.ctcharlotte.org for show times and ticket information.

Saturday, October 13

The Glow, a Halloween wonderland of more than 5,000 hand-carved jack o’lanterns, will illuminate the Charlotte Motor Speedway’s Carolina Rebellion Campground from October 4-28. The event will feature detailed single pumpkin carvings and large structures, fall food, and live demonstrations from master carvers. The Halloween stroll will be open from Thursday through Sunday. Monday, October 15

Preschool Story Time will be held at 10 a.m. at the Locust Library.

Wednesday, October 17

Children’s Story Time will be held at 10 a.m. at the Albemarle Main Library.

Every Wednesday at 11 a.m. children can learn about history through games, stories, crafts and activities during the History Hunters program at the Stanly County Museum. This week, children will learn about witches throughout history and will make a witch craft. The program is designed for children ages 3-6.
