A Summer Reading Children’s Story Time program will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the Oakboro Library.



The West Stanly High School football team will play a home game against Albemarle at 7:30 p.m.

The Charlotte Knights will take on Gwinnett at 1:05 p.m. at the BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte. The Charlotte Knights will take on Gwinnett at 5:05 p.m. at the BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte. Fans can meet famous wrestlers such as The Boogie Woogie Man, The Barbarian, Manny Fernandez and legendary referee Tommy Young as the Knights raise money for the Crockett Foundation. PWX Wrestling will bring the “Battle at the Ballpark” after the game. NWA World Heavyweight Champion Magnus will be in action in the main event. Join American Girl® for an afternoon at Discovery Place Science in Charlotte. Children’s Story Time will be held at 10 a.m. at the Albemarle Main Library.

Every Wednesday at 11 a.m. children can learn about history through games, stories, crafts and activities during the History Hunters program at the Stanly County Museum. The program is designed for children ages 3-6. This week’s theme will be the history of animals in Stanly County. Children will make a duck puppet.
