Story Time will be held at the Oakboro Library at 9:30 a.m.



The Albemarle Main Library will show the movie Despicable Me 3 at 10 a.m. A teen raffle will be held at 2 p.m.

The Kannapolis Intimidators will take on Delmarva at 7:05 p.m. Harry Potter Night will begin with a Golden Snitch Baseball giveaway to the first 1,000 fans and will include flying lessons, a pre-game Quidditch match and more. The Uwharrie Players will present Cinderella July 27-August 5 at the Agri-Civic Center in Albemarle. Performances dates and times are as follows: July 27, July 28, August 3 and August 4 at 7:30 p.m. and July 29 and August 5 at 3 p.m. Children ages 10 and under are invited to dress up as a Cinderella character and will be invited onstage before the second act of the performance with one child to be the winner in a drawing for prizes. After each performance, Cinderella and other cast members will be available for photos in the lobby. Ticket prices are: adults $13 advance/$15 at the door, Jr./Sr. (21-/60+) $10 advance/$12 at the door, child (10 and under) $5. Advance tickets are available at First Bank (Albemarle, Locust or Richfield), Starnes Jewelers (Albemarle), Second Street Sundries (Albemarle) and online at www.uwharrieplayers.org. All tickets are good for any performance. Seating is general admission.

Sea Life Charlotte-Concord will present Shark Month during the month of July. Visitors will enjoy a variety of shark-themed activities throughout the month and a Shark Behind-the-Scenes Tour. The Shark Behind-the-Scenes Tour will be offered on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 1:15-1:45 p.m. Guests will see an upclose feeding show, see brand new baby sharks, learn about extinct sharks, and learn new facts about sharks during the tour. The shark tour is not included in aquarium admission.
