Story Time will be held at the Oakboro Library at 9:30 a.m.



The Albemarle Main Library will show the movie The Stray at 10 a.m.

Sea Life Charlotte-Concord will present Shark Month during the month of July. Visitors will enjoy a variety of shark-themed activities throughout the month and a Shark Behind-the-Scenes Tour. The Shark Behind-the-Scenes Tour will be offered on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays at 1:15-1:45 p.m. Guests will see an upclose feeding show, see brand new baby sharks, learn about extinct sharks, and learn new facts about sharks during the tour. The shark tour is not included in aquarium admission. The Charlotte Knights will take on Indianapolis at 7:04 p.m. at the BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte. Stick around after the game for a post-game fireworks show. Beyond The Stage, a children’s theater company for kids ages 5-17, will hold an open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Family Sports & Fitness in Stanfield. The City of Locust will host a free outdoor concert featuring Vahalla from 6-9 p.m. in the backyard of Locust City Hall. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy an evening of music and fun with friends and neighbors. Food vendors will be on site with items to purchase.

Children’s Story Time will be held at 10 a.m. at the Albemarle Main Library.

Every other Wednesday at 11 a.m. children can learn about history through games, stories, crafts and activities during the History Hunters program at the Stanly County Museum. The program is designed for children ages 3-6. This week’s theme will be the history of trash. Children will make a craft from recycled materials.
