Friday, June 15

Story Time will be held at the Oakboro Library at 9:30 a.m.



The Albemarle Main Library will show the movie Wonder at 10 a.m.

Saturday, June 16

An outdoor market will be held at the Log Barn Park in Stanfield beginning at 7 a.m. Vendors will offer plants, crafts, yard sale items and more.

The City of Locust will host a free outdoor concert featuring Right Turn Clyde from 6-9 p.m. in the backyard of Locust City Hall. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy an evening of music and fun with friends and neighbors. Food vendors will be on site with items to purchase.

The Kannapolis Intimidators will take on Greensboro at 7:05 p.m. Tonight is Boy Scout camp out night at the ballpark. Stick around after the game for a post-game fireworks show. Visit intimidatorsbaseball.com for a schedule, promotions and ticket information.

Farm Day will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Discovery Place Nature in Charlotte. Attendees will enjoy outdoor games, face painting, story time, puppet shows, crafts and up close encounters with animals such as pigs, goats and sheep. Farm Day events are included with museum admission.

Sunday, June 17

The Kannapolis Intimidators will take on Greensboro at 5:05 p.m. The first 1,000 fans 18 and older will receive a free Kannapolis Intimidators bottle opener. Members of the Jr. Intimidators Club receive a complementary ticket to the game and will have the opportunity to take a Father’s Day family photo on the field. Monday, June 18

The Stanly County Public Library will present the Summer Reading Extravaganza featuring Big Bang Boom at 10 a.m. at the Agri-Civic Center in Albemarle. The event is free.

Tuesday, June 19

The Albemarle Main Library will host the summer reading event, Recycling Rocks!, at 2 p.m.

Wednesday, June 20

Children’s Story Time will be held at 10 a.m. at the Albemarle Main Library.
