The Albemarle Beach Blast Downtown event will be held from 2-8 p.m. Food and children’s activities begin at 2 p.m. An outdoor concert featuring Cassette Rewind and The Tonez will begin at 3 p.m.

The City of Locust will host the 5th annual Hands on Locust event from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the backyard of Locust City Hall. Children will enjoy leaning about and climbing in a variety of trucks, tractors and equipment such as fire trucks, police cars, ambulance, dump trucks, diggers, excavators, cement trucks, tractors, flatbed trucks, tow trucks, wreckers, refrigerated trucks and bucket trucks. The event is free.

The City of Locust will host a free movie night in the backyard of Locust City Hall. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to watch Moana on a large inflatable movie screen. The movie will begin at sundown with pre-movie activities beginning at 6:30 p.m.  Pre-show activities will feature The South Sea Dancers and photos with Moana. The movie night is sponsored by Jason Martin, DDS, PA.

Players will wear pink jerseys and will raise money for Carolinas Breast Cancer Fund.  The first 2,000 ladies to enter the gates will receive a pink baseball.
