Sea Life Aquarium in Concord will host Homeschool Week September 18-22. Homeschoolers can purchase tickets for a discounted rate of $7.50 per person. The aquarium will also offer learning activities from 12-4:30 p.m. for a variety of ages. Families must present proof of homeschooling to receive the discounted price at admissions. On Saturdays in September, Discovery Place will offer free admission to educators and one guest. Free admission is available at any of the Discovery Place museums including Discovery Place Science, Discovery Place Nature, Discovery Place Kids-Huntersville and Discovery Place Kids-Rockingham. To receive free admission, educators must present a valid school ID or NCDNPE homeschool certificate.

The Stanly County Fair will be held Tuesday, September 26 through Saturday, September 30. The fair features children’s activities, competitions, entertainment, music, rides, vendors, agricultural exhibits, food and attractions.
