Winding down the facts:

CBD Fact #13: CBD can be used topically or internally.

CBD can be used in many ways, including consuming CBD oral sprays, sublingual drops, edible capsules or foods, or applying topical CBD creams. When used topically, CBD is absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream, where it can then interact with cannabinoid receptors throughout the body.

When used internally, CBD is absorbed into the bloodstream through glands in the mouth and under the tongue or metabolized in the bloodstream via the liver. Internal consumption methods usually provide longer-lasting relief from symptoms than topical solutions but may not provide the same targeted relief. This is by far my favorite way to get my CBD oil mainly because it gets straight to the point. I feel the relief for any pain as well as feeling myself calm down taking it sublingually aka under my tongue.

CBD Fact #14: CBD can last for hours.

How long CBD lasts in the body depends on many factors, including how it is consumed, the person’s weight, and the speed of one’s metabolism. In general, however, the effects of CBD can be felt for several hours after ingestion. Everyone is different but CBD is beneficial to all! We suggest that you take .25 twice a day. For my folks that just need it at night to help them wind down so that they can get a good night’s sleep I suggest taking your .50 (30-45) minutes before bed.

CBD Fact #15: CBD is best sourced from hemp plants…you need to know where it all begins from the flower to the bottle!

CBD can be extracted from both hemp and marijuana plants. However, CBD products derived from hemp plants are generally considered more effective, as they contain higher concentrations of CBD and lower levels of THC. I tell my folks that its the CBD that’s helping you not the THC.

Our HQ is in Asheville and our flower is grown in Asheville or in the surrounding area outside of Asheville. Our CHC Sublingual Oil has our name on it, so we know that our process is on point!

When looking for CBD products, always check if the source plant is hemp or cannabis. If it’s not specified, don’t hesitate to ask the vendor directly, if they can’t tell you or they don’t know…. don’t buy it!

CBD Fact #18: CBD can be made from sativa or indica hemp plant strains.

A significant misconception surrounding CBD is that all products are derived exclusively from sativa plant strains. In reality, however, many different hemp plant strains can be used to produce CBD oil and other CBD products.

Popular sativa-dominant hemp plant CBD extracts include Harlequin, ACDC, and Sour Tsunami. Popular Indica-dominant CBD strains include Blueberry Kush, and Blackberry Kush.

CBD Fact #19: The efficacy of CBD may be limited by prescription medications.

If you are taking any prescription medications, it is essential to consult your doctor before starting a CBD regimen. This is because many common prescription drugs interact with CBD, limiting its efficacy or increasing the risk of side effects.

Some of these medications include anti-anxiety drugs like benzodiazepines, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), and antipsychotic drugs. If you are taking any of these medications, it is best to speak with your doctor before using CBD.

What to look for in quality CBD products. It’s all about the quality of the product.

It looks like everyone is selling CBD!!! Differentiating between CBD facts and fiction when it comes to products can be difficult, especially since there is so much misinformation out there. To ensure that you are purchasing high-quality CBD products, look for products made from organic plants that have been third-party tested for quality and purity. This is one of the reasons why I am big on “educating folks”.

In addition, check to see if the product lists its full ingredients and dosage information on the label, as well as its potency and extraction methods. When in doubt, do your research and consult with trusted vendors or healthcare professionals to ensure that you get the most effective CBD products possible.

By understanding these CBD fun facts, you can feel confident in your decision to try CBD products for yourself. With so many potential health benefits and a low risk of side effects, CBD is worth exploring as a natural therapeutic option.  The use of CBD will only become more popular in the years to come. So, if you’re looking for a natural way to improve your health and wellbeing give CBD a try and see the benefits for yourself. You may be surprised at just how effective it can be.
