More than 100 veterans were in attendance at the Stanly Community College’s ninth annual WWII Veterans recognition luncheon last Tuesday, May 29 at the Albemarle campus in honor of Memorial Day.
SCC History instructor, Mike Beck was the keynote speaker for the event. A collection of uniforms, weapons, and other war artifacts were on display provided by the Locust Historical Society and Museum’s Gary Tucker and Bill Tucker.
