The Oakboro Police Department is currently investigating an accident that involves a vehicle vs. pedestrian. This accident occured on Hwy. 205 at Wade Road in Oakboro May 7 at 11 pm. Daniel Wayne Morton of 204 Bear Claw Road. Oakboro was struck and killed by a passing vehicle. With this investigation still underway, more information will be available after completion.
