The proposed budget for Cabarrus County will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners at its meeting Monday, May 21, at 6:30 pm. The public is invited to attend and speak during the public comment portion of the meeting.
Commissioners will delve deeper into the budget at Budget Work Sessions to be held at 4 pm on:
• May 22 – overview of operating budget, capital improvement plan, Sheriff’s Office, animal shelter
• May 24 – with Convention and Visitors Bureau, Tourism Authority, Economic Development Corporation, Cabarrus County Schools, Kannapolis City Schools and Rowan Cabarrus Community College
• May 29 – with Cabarrus Arts Council, Community Care Plan, Cabarrus Health Alliance, Piedmont Behavioral Health
• May 31 – with fire districts
The public is invited to listen at work sessions, however there will be no public comment period.
