The Weekly Post wins N.C. Press Award
Elizabeth Vettorel, advertising Manager for The Weekly Post, won a first-place award in the 2009 N. C. Press Association advertising contest. The award was for the design of a Lum’s Ford ad in the February 27, 2008 paper. This is one of several awards Vettorel has won for her advertising designs in the newspaper.

According to Locust City Administrator, James Inman, Walmart will have their grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on July 15th (time to be decided) and they expect a huge crowd as they bring in local radio stations from Charlotte and other activities marking the four day celebration.
