From Scott Efird, Mayor of Locust – an urgent message for all citizens. As you all know we are suffering an unusual heat wave that is forecast to last for several weeks. I would like to ask each of you to check on your neighbors every day to be sure they are OK, in particular we need to check on our older citizens to be sure they are in good shape. If you know of someone who is need of a fan or other help then please call me at City Hall at 704-888-5260 and we will work to find our neighbors the help they need. If we all work together we can be sure that all of our neighbors in the City are provided for. Thank you for your time.
