Cabarrus County authorities are looking for a man who held up a Japanese restaurant in Harrisburg last week.
Cabarrus County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Ishi Japanese Restaurant, located on Highway 49, around 9:20 p.m. last Wednesday.
Witnesses at the scene said that the suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money. Although he was not able to actually steal any money from the business witnesses said that he stole an employee’s purse.
Authorities said that the employee’s credit card was then used at a Shell station on The Plaza in northeast Charlotte.
The suspect is described by deputies as a black male standing 5’7″ and weighing about 160 pounds.
He was wearing a black jacket, black pants, white gloves, and a white bandana over his face during the hold-up.
Deputies also said he was driving a white or silver late model Chevrolet Malibu with damage to the hood near the driver’s side fender.
